I am currently a student at The Collegiate School, where, since my freshman year, I've played on the varsity basketball team as well as AAU for Riverside Hawks Select. I strongly believe in the idea of the student/athlete, that nurturing the one boosts the other, and I want to aid young kids in making that connection. When I learned that physical education is often the first thing on the chopping block when elementary schools face budget cuts and that not all kids have easy access to sports teams, I was inspired to create this free class. I also hope to show kids, through the selection of books about athletes, that reading can be fun when you enjoy the topic!

I have worked as a basketball coach for the Ray Voelkel Basketball Camp and as a camp counselor on Long Island during the summers. I've worked with children as young as four years old in an athletic environment. I truly enjoy working with kids and helping them improve athletically and academically.
